Chasing rainbows

We have been on this journey to move for many months now, researching sinc March, actual time pursuing since May and it just seems like a giant rainbow to me. I don't know if it is the type of visa we are getting or just really bad timing but we just keep moving forward and then get knocked back 2-3 steps. Now it has happened yet again. We keep getting told 2 more weeks, 2 more weeks. Of course that was 8 weeks ago. Now we are told 4 more weeks! We are so close to throwing in the towel. We are so stressed and at each other 75% of the time. I just want to get to Oz but just like the song, it is somewhere over the rainbow. And we all know how hard it is to get to a rainbow. But I will persist and if anyone has some ruby slippers that they could lone me, that would be great.

Not that this will make you feel better, but it took months for our visas to be approved, and we were already here! It's not you, it's the system. Take lots of deep breaths and know that it will happen eventually, probably when you least expect it.

I know we are definitly not alone and you are right mooselet, it is like watching a pot of water waiting for it to boil but man, it is hard, especially when you have little ones that want to know when they are going to see the roos.

The good thing is that the roos (and the loud crows and the possums) will still be here, no matter when you finally arrive. And with all the rain Perth has been getting, it will be green too! Mooselet is right...the Aussie way is lots of waiting for a sudden burst of activity. Then you'll be on that plane.
