It has been a week now since the hubby left. Man, I miss him. He is in Perth and loves his new job but I know he misses me too. It has to be hard to be that far away and not know that many people and knowing that you have a family back at home that misses you sooo much. But I keep telling myself that it is going to be worth it.
People ask me why we want to move to Australia and to me it is simple... a better way of life. Especially for our children. I don't want them to live in a place where they have to go through metal detectors to go to school, A place that is not very well liked all over the world. And it is a beautiful place. Don't get me wrong, I have seen a lot of this country and there is no place that compares to it but something is just not right here.
Today I am just feeling lonely and wish it would pass. There is so much that needs to be done before we can move and so little I can do. It is frustrating. Maybe if I click my heels together 3 times, it will pass fast.
Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas anymore...

Passports and FBI records
It is a good day. We got all the passports for me and the girls today. Then, got my FBI report. All Clear. Now, time to apply for our Visas.
Happy dance, Happy dance.
Sadder note, Bull is in Perth for the next 6 weeks. He comes home for the baby to be born and then off again til the baby is 6 weeks old or when the visas come in for us, which ever comes first. I can't wait to touch the beach in Perth.

And he is off
Well, Bull leaves tomorrow afternoon for Oz for 6 weeks. Leaving me here with the 2 wild animals. I know this will take us closer to our goal but will be very hard on me. Just will have to stay busy with all of the things that need to be done before we move.
Just hurry up and get home.
Just hurry up and get home.

Wow!
What a difference a few days make. 2 days ago, we were thinking of how we would be sitting here over the next few months waiting for the new baby and the visas. All the planning came to a screeching halt last night when R got a call from his headhunter in Aus. Seems he has a job and they want him in 2 weeks. A little finagling on there side and it is done. He will be leaving in 2 weeks for Perth and will work there for a month, come home for the birth of our third daughter, stay 2 weeks and go back. Once our permanent resident visas get here, then we all go there. For good. He is going to be staying with a wonderful mate over there that has been a Godsend for us. Bless you MS.
Now, this is not going to be fun or easy for either of us. Especially me. I will be here to tie up lose ends, sell things, get the shippers lined up for our goods that are going to go, find homes for the dog and cat, sell the car and take care of 2 little girls. Then give birth in Aug and take care of 3 little ones by myself. No family to help and very few friends. Oh me, oh my. I know somewhere in the mix too that I will have to pack up the kids, not sure if it will be 2 or 3 and drive 5 hours to the closest medical examiner for our physicals for visas. I can do it but man, what a job this is going to be.
And once I get to Perth, I am going to go to the beach, put my toes in the sand, drink a beer and breathe.
